I've been providing counseling services for almost 10 years. I have a Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice from Quinnipiac University and a Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health from Southern Connecticut State University. I'm currently a licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Connecticut and I'm also a National Certified Counselor.
I began my training as a group facilitator at The Consultation Center in New Haven, CT and then later provided individual counseling at The Dixwell/Newhallville Clinic in New Haven. For the past seven years I have been a clinician at Bridges: Young Adult Services located in West Haven CT. I currently provide individual and family counseling for young men and women ages 18-30. Additionally, I supervise and teach a number of interns from local universities.
Working in the non-profit sector has afforded me a rich experience in helping a number of people with a variety of challenges. My experience includes treating Clinical Depression, Anxiety, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Substance Abuse, Grief, and poor self-esteem. I use a variety of therapeutic techniques which include Motivational Interviewing, Accelerated Resolution Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Cognitive Behavior Therapy.
My services are available for men and women of all ages. I focus on using people's personal strengths to help them overcome their day-to-day challenges. Much of my clinical experience has been focused on helping men overcome personal challenges and helping them expand on their communication skills.
